Here, to brighten your day (or night), are four of my favorite Donald Duck cartoons. If you’ve never seen classic Disney shorts before, you’re missing out. Modern Disney shorts are about as enjoyable as getting the business end of a trident shoved in your genitals. CLASSIC Disney shorts, on the other hand, are like….you know…NOT getting the business end of a trident shoved in your genitals. Damn. I need to work on my similes. Whatever. Enjoy these wonderful bits of animation. Or words to that effect.

Great stuff! I remember watching these as a kid, back when Disney would shove tons of shorts on a VHS tape and you could buy it for twenty bucks. Now if you want to own them you have to buy those ridiculous $50 sets with Leonard Maltin warning you before every clip that if you see something offensive, it was just considered normal back then.

See, this is why I begged my parents to get the disney channel in 80's back when every show on the network was an excuse to show classic disney shorts. They're still great, but as an engineer, the plastics inventor rings slightly false :p . The rest though, totally above board and realistic in my mind.

I miss you. I'm just saying….

Yeah, I don't need Maltin telling me what to think. Or anyone for that matter. I don't remember a single offensive Donald Duck cartoon anyway. Unless you count the episode "Donald Makes A Negro Friend".

Sorry, H. I've been reading your blog as religiously as ever, but I haven't been commenting. But don't be jealous. I'm not commenting anywhere lately. Been busy and am usually tired by the time I get home from work. Not to mention I can't use the internet from work. I'll do my level best to be a better blog reader in the future.
