They might have a podcast
I’ve loved the unclassifiable “They Might Be Giants” since I was first introduced to them in 11th grade. This guy named Ed let me borrow their first album, “Flood,” and I was hooked for life. Well, it’s been many, many albums since then, and I’ve never been disappointed. They’re not for everyone, but nothing is.
Anyway, I just discovered their podcast today, and listened to a couple episodes. They’re fucking genius. They create and sing original songs for their podcasts, as well as playing live performances of older songs. You’ll know in 5 minutes if you like them or not, so no real time commitment needed.
