Uncomfortable Moments
After an interminable wait, The Office has returned to the air with new episodes. Thankfully, the show has lost none of its magic. The first episode back from the writer’s strike, “The Dinner Party”, is a masterpiece of uncomfortable moments wrapped into a wonderful package of funny. If you missed it, I was kind enough to embed the episode above. Ain’t I awesome??
03.14.08Hulu Hoop
I’ve blogged about Hulu before, back when it was in private beta. To refresh your memory, it’s a site that features full-length television programs, with only the most minor of commercial interruptions. I’ve spent hours listening to episodes of The Office and 30 Rock while working, and it makes time zip by.
Now you can enjoy all the goodness for yourself. And there’s a lot of goodness to enjoy, believe me. Since they’ve gone public, they’ve also added some new features that really have kicked it up to the next level. Namely, full-length movies and HD movie trailers. And, best of all, it’s all able to be embedded in your website. For example, I’ve embedded The Big Lebowski below. You could, if you wanted to, watch the entire movie without leaving my blog. Not bad, eh?

Suck Industries Three Thousand

Wow. To say the premiere of Knight Rider last night was great would be an exaggeration. To say it was mediocre would also be an overstatement. I’m not sure of the appropriate term for a show this bad, but I think Shitacular probably comes as close as anything else. Painfully-Long-Ford-Commercial would be a close second.
Where to start? Now there’s a question that’s more difficult than you might think. Should I attempt to address the horrible acting first? The abyssmal writing? Val Kilmer’s sad attempt at voice-work? The frequent and obvious product-placement? I just don’t know. Maybe it’s best to say it this way; The show was a horrible stew of rancid food, cooked by an inebriated and diseased chef. No part of it was worse than any other part. The casting director was surely doing lines of coke with the screen-writer and a Ford executive when this show was created. I can’t otherwise see how this could be considered anything other than a miserable pile of steaming fail.

Hateratin’ on the rise!
If you don’t watch MTV’s Making the Band, you’re missing out on a real opportunity to bone up on your hip-hop slang. If not for that show, you might not know what Haterating is. You might not know that Bitchassness, a new word only just coined by Sean Combs**, is a “contagious sickness” affecting the black community. You might not be exposed to Salty behavior. In other words, you’d be at a real loss for words the next time you talk to a member of the Hip-Hop community. You’d look like a fool the next time you go to the Source awards and look confused during the acceptance speeches. So watch the show. Learn the language. Don’t succumb to bitchassness. You’re welcome.
**I went with his real name. I don't know what name he goes by now - P. Diddy? Diddy? Puff the Bad-Boy Dragon? Who knows?
