Sorry for the lack of posting this week, but we’re heading out of town in about 30 minutes (two hours later than originally planned), and we had a lot of preparation to do before we left. Not to mention, I had a myriad of doctor’s visits and related medical stuff that ate up my week. Unfortunately, I will have little to no access to the web for the next seven days. My mother-in-law’s on dial-up, and she’s not the best about letting other people have time on her computer. So…I may be able to drop a quick line, but will likely not. The site was just cleaned up, and this is the second version of the theme. It’s practically identical, but with a lot of fixes and some things done to make it run smoother and be less clunky. Hope you like it. I meant to post articles in advance, as I have for previous vacations, but there’s no time. So, this is it for the next seven days. Hope you all have a happy holiday of whatever sort you practice. That is, unless you don’t have a holiday around this time. In that case, hope your week is happy nonetheless. Me? Before today, I thought the 70’s Star Wars Christmas was the oddest holiday special out there. Thanks to famous chef and lovable prick Anthony Bourdain, I’ve changed my mind. His Christmas special is not only highly enjoyable, it’s highly bizarre. Where else could you find the Queens of the Stone Age wearing holiday sweaters usually only seen on your grandmother, a bloody fight over a piece of turkey, kids who say motherfucker as much as I do and a curling match? If you actually have an answer to that question, let me know.

If you’ve got the Travel Channel and a DVR, be sure to set it to record this masterpiece when it airs again, next Monday (12/17) at noon. You won’t be disappointed. And if your are, well shit…I’m sorry.
