Gotta say, I’m lovin’ Lost this year. The initial three episodes do a lot of things well, but what they do best is demonstrate to those of us who have watched it since the beginning that the writers knew what they were doing all along. Events that happened seasons ago that I thought had just been dropped are starting to pay off. Claire’s disappearance, the mysterious illness that Rousseau claimed afflicted her entire crew, the black smoke and more. It’s all tying together. Sure, it doesn’t quite make sense yet, but you get the idea that it soon will, and more importantly, that it will make sense and will fit neatly with the previous seasons.

I find that watching the recap shows they have before a premier is really helpful. I had no idea who the non-dead guy who looks like Locke was before I watched the latest recap show (I thought he was Locke). Now it’s obvious that he’s that dude who wanted to kill Jacob. I should watch the show while sober more.

You should watch it sober. I can’t handle that show if I’ve been smoking. You really have to pay attention.

Of course I watched the finale the other night and thought it was great. Looking online for folks’ reaction to it and the series as a whole, some people suddenly hate the show because they didn’t answer every last one of the hundreds of thought provoking questions the show introduced. I truly pity those haters who clearly missed the big picture and point of the show. BTW, I hope you’re not one of those douchebags, Mr. Ape.
