I always found it a little odd that the best way to get items in RPGs or Fantasy-type video games was to walk into people’s houses and rifle through their shit. They never seemed to mind, either. You could walk in, open up their chests, cabinets and drawers, break open a few vases and then they’d still be perfectly civil to you. Fuck that. I’d be all “Um, excuse me, sir, I don’t mean to be rude, but DID YOU JUST STEAL ALL MY SHIT?”

Do you like comic-books? I hope you said yes, because if you said no, you’re like, totally retarded and shit. Okay, maybe you’re not retarded…but maybe you are. I digress.

Justin Pierce’s “The Non-Adventures of Wonderella” is an amazingly super-excellent web-comic. Don’t confuse it with that stupid show “The New Adventures of Old Christine”. One, it’s not a tv show, and B, the slutty chick from Seinfeld isn’t in it. It may be one of the funniest comic strips I have ever read. And that’s saying a lot. Seriously, I have little else to do other than dick around on the web reading comic strips. Like, this here? Funny. And this? Seriously funny. But Wonderella? Wonderella is piss yourself funny. I don’t mean figurative piss either. I’m talking R. Kelly piss. The real deal.

As if it weren’t great enough that I discovered such a staggering work of nut-busting genius, there are OVER TWO YEARS WORTH of strips to read. I’ve been reading like crazy and I haven’t even made a dent in the collection. Do you know how much laughter that is? Do you know how much URINE that is?

Jesus Christ on a pogo stick, what are you waiting for? Stop reading this shitty blog and start reading some Wonderella. If I find out you didn’t, I’m punching you in the dick. Or where a dick would be if you’re a lady-folk.

Strip Show: I

Welcome to Strip Show. As close to weekly as I can, I’ll be presenting two new webcomics for your reading pleasure. And not shitty webcomics. Fuck that. I’m bringing you the goods. The best of the intarweb. Well, the best of what I’ve seen. And I guess “best” is a pretty subjective term, at that…..hmm…. What was I saying? Who knows. Anyways….

First up is Hijinks Ensue, a webcomic by the extremely talented artist, Joel Watson. He’s a giant geek and it shows. I guess that’s a disclaimer of sorts. If you read his comics and scratch your head, you’re just not geek enough. Which, in the grand scheme of things isn’t a bad thing if you’re looking to ever get laid. Here are two recent comics that I really enjoyed. The second one requires a little knowledge of the plot of Requiem for a Dream. The really fucked-up thing about that movie is..well, everything. If you enjoy Joel’s work, visit his website and let him know it. He’s a great artist and hilarious to boot. Enjoy-

Next is Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal. This one is definitely more accessible for the non-geeks than Hijinks Ensue, but no less intelligent. Zach Weiner really nails the type of humor that I love. Dry, witty and intelligent, his comics will almost always make me laugh out loud. Ok, that was a lie. I almost never laugh out loud. But they make me want to write LOL when I read them, so that’s kinda the same thing, right? Whatever. Here’s the link to his site. Visit it and give him much love. Not of the happy-ending-hand variety, unless that’s what you’re into. I mean love of the “Hey, you rock,” type. Well, shit. I guess either’s okay with me if it’s okay with him. Here are two of his strips that I really enjoyed.
