Five Firefox extensions that need to be updated
I, like most of the hard-core nerds on the interwebz, have upgraded to the beta of Firefox 3. This was initially supposed to be something I could play around with, while still using Firefox 2 for daily use. But I didn’t count on how amazing FFX 3 would be. It’s faster. MUCH faster. The new address bar is amazing. And I can’t go back to FFX 2. I can’t. This presents me with a few problems. Okay, one problem. One big problem. Extension support. There are far too many extensions that haven’t been updated to work with the newer version of Firefox.
Thankfully, a little extension called Nightly Tester Tools comes in to save the day in most cases. It forces extensions that aren’t yet compatible to work in newer versions of Firefox, including the latest nightly updates. Unfortunately, there are many extensions that won’t work, even with NTT installed. Extensions that I love and really, really hate doing without.
Gears of Halo?
The word in the street is that Bungie is working on a prequel to Halo, featuring the initial skirmishes between mankind and the Covenant. This is, of course, exciting news for us Halo fans. However, they’re taking a departure from their usual FPS gameplay and moving to a 3rd-Person Shooter style. Hopefully, we’re looking at a Gears of War style game, because that would rock the fucking house. And I like my house to get rocked.
Bad Naked
If you’ve ever wondered what Jerry Seinfeld was talking about when he referred to “Bad Naked”, he was talking about this. Yeah, this shit is NSFW. Which, for the acronymally impaired among you, means “Not Safe For Work”. On account of the fact that there’s nudity, and lots of it. Which, for once, is not at all a good thing. Not at all.
In which I succumb to the latest internet craze…
If you’re on the internet much, you’ve seen these bar graphs and pie charts that people are throwing around. They’re funny, but I’ve never really felt like participating. Until today. For some reason unknown to me, I decided to whip together three pie charts. Enjoy.
